Frimas 2019 VdF
Anjou, Loire Valley
The grapes for Frimas (100% Chenin) are bought at a close neighboring site: same geographic situation as Bonnezeaux, clay soils and schistes. The neighbor works the vines with organic methods. When it is time for harvest, Pierre Boisseaux and Florian Zuliani do a soft press then encourage a native ferment as they used to do for the other cuvées : fermentation in cuves for around 3 weeks and aging for at least 12 months. Then bottling in November with a light filtration, 2g SO2/hl for bottling. All the barrels are at least 5 years old.
This wine has little information out there from its just created track record, but you know the pedigree is there so best to get in while you can.
