Please Read, IMPORTANT re: today's offer!
When I first wanted to get into the wine business, even after understanding how badly it is skewed to screw the consumer and producer, I wanted to sell wines that we picked ourselves! This way we can offer them to you at the best prices, delivering you absolute value and enjoyment!
Today's offer is our FIRST OFFER we sourced directly from the producer. "Imported" from the Napa Valley, this tiny producer makes a BIG impression with this wine that competes with the $100-$150 Napa Cabs that we all see too much of today!
After speaking with a good friend in my tasting group that is a long time insider in the wine business, he set me up with today's winery which quickly became our first direct import/source project to land in NC. I know you are reading this so a big THANK YOU for setting us up with Brent and the team at Rapport wines!
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING...
ITALY is up next and we'll have those wines for you in the coming weeks.
2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
$49.99 on 4+
We see and taste a LOT of "Cab" in the shop and we don’t sell much of what we taste. PRECIADO is the best we have tried under $100 - period. $50 for Napa Cab with this much power and richness is a deal and unheard of!
Tasting this in my head I would price this at $124.99 at the cellar door, that's how good this is! We just blew through the first 6 cases in the last 2 days and have 6 more on the way.
Important News from Preciado:
"We are beyond thrilled to mention that this past Saturday (Feb 2019) a 5 case auction lot of our upcoming 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon sold for $12,000 ($200 per bottle). Benefiting charity, the Premiere Napa Valley auction brings some of the most discerning trade buyers (restaurants and retailers) from throughout the US and the world to Napa Valley. The amount our wine sold for eclipsed some very well established Napa brands and we couldn’t be happier. Our entire winemaking team works hard to bring you Napa’s best fruit and bottle it at a reasonable price."
Napa Valley: Yountville & Coombsville fruit
76% Cabernet Sauvignon / 22% Merlot / 2% Petit Verdot
20 Months in 70% New French Oak (Darnajou, Taransaud, Ermitage, Baron, Remond)
The 2016 Preciado incorporates exceptional, hand-harvested fruit from our small partner growers in Eastern Yountville and Coombsville. Within each site, we conduct meticulous blending trials to understand the vineyard’s contributions to the overall flavor and texture of the finished wine. By carefully integrating these individual lots, we create a rich spectrum on the palate and cohesive expression of Napa Valley.
The 2016 vintage Preciado offers an inviting inky color, deep blue and black fruit aromas with hints of dark plum and cocoa. A lush palate of textured tannins leads the way with flavors of decadent dark fruit, black cherry, anise and cedar with a well structured, earthy finish.
